We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy explains our practices concerning the personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us. If you do not agree with this policy, we suggest not to use the Platform.

Please read this privacy policy ("Policy") carefully to understand our practices regarding your information. By installing, subscribing to, accessing or using the JALSA Platform, you agree to this Policy.

We collect and process information you give us when you create an account and upload content to the Platform. This includes technical and behavioural information about your use of the Platform. We also collect information about you if you download the app and interact with the Platform without creating an account.

2. the types of information we may collect or that you may provide when any advertisement or survey campaign is displayed by Company on JALSA Platform or as part of your interaction with such advertisement by Company;

The Platform 'JALSA" enables users to explore, watch, upload and share videos and other content including content created by you or others. JALSA Platform also enables Ad Partners (defined below) to display advertisements, promotional offers and is a distribution platform for content creators.

Please note that this Policy shall apply to information obtained from you through the JALSA Platform. It does not apply to information that we may obtain from sources other than JALSA Platform who provide your information based on their privacy policies.

By using the JALSA Platform you permit us to collect certain information about you from the websites, applications, channels, services or landing pages ("Sites") you access through "JALSA" Platform by the provider/owner of such Sites, in which case, we will treat such information in accordance with the privacy policies of such Sites in addition to this Policy. We suggest that you familiarise yourself with the terms, conditions, policies, notices etc. before providing information on or to such third-party Sites, applications, channels, services or landing pages.

PLEASE NOTE:

If the JALSA platform is made available as a pre-loaded feature or widget within an application or on a smart device, the provider of the device may bundle the relevant terms of this Policy with their own Privacy Policies. Kindly check the settings of the smart device or the terms of use of the Application.

Our use of information about you

We use your information to provide better service in the Platform for you and to improve and administer it. We use your information for providing you suggestions and to improve and develop the Platform and to ensure your safety. Where appropriate, we will also use your personal information to serve you targeted advertising and promote the Platform.

Sharing of your data

Your data shall be shared with such third party service providers who help us to deliver the Platform, such as cloud storage providers. We also share your information with business partners, affiliates, our content moderators, advertisers, and analytics providers. If you elect to install, launch, access and/or use the JALSA Platform, we will ask you to provide certain information to create your account such as user name, location, age and gender. You may also provide the JALSA Platform with additional information such as content/category preferences, areas of interest, language, region preferences etc. in order to customize the experience for you. When you access, and use the JALSA Platform including when you view any advertisement displayed there, the JALSA Platform may collect:

Details of your access to and use of the JALSA Platform, including interaction data, logs of access and usage, and other performance data and the resources that you access and use on or through the JALSA Platform, stories/videos/content you read, view, watch, interact with.

We may collect information about or on your device such as the online device identifiers, advertising identifiers, device make, IP Address, display features, operating system make, browser type, network/wifi the content type of the ad; (ii) the ad type (e.g. whether the ad is a text, image, or video based ad); (iii) where the ad is being served (e.g. the address of the site on which the ad appears); and (iv) certain information about post-click activity in relation to the ad including user interaction with such ad or other non-personal data/information

The JALSA Platform collects information about the location. You can choose whether or not to allow the JALSA Platform to collect information about your device's location by turning off the location settings on your device. The Platform may not be effective in the services to be offered to you if you block the access to location information. JALSA Platform may be inaccessible or not function properly in the absence of such location information. JALSA Platform may read your location on city level and be used for our recommendation engine to serve you relevant content.

Third party data: This is information provided by our partners. The information provided in these cases follow the respective privacy policies of such third parties. In the context of advertising displayed on JALSA Platform, Affiliates (in their capacity as advertising partners), ad networks, advertisers or such other third party demand partners (collectively "Ad Partners") may also disclose to us certain personal or non-personal information they have separately collected about you so that we can effectively provide our services. They do this in accordance with their own specific privacy policies and subject to their own applicable legal requirements and, we will treat such information in accordance with the privacy policies of such Ad Partners in addition to this Policy, subject to the terms of the former. We do not use the information they provide to us for any purpose other than for providing or improving our services.

Technical Information we collect about you. We automatically collect certain information from you when you use the Platform including when you are using the App without an account. Such information includes your IP address, browsing history (i.e. the content you have viewed on the Platform), mobile carrier, time zone settings, identifier for advertising purposes and the version of the app you are using. We will also collect information regarding the device you are using to access the Platform such as the model of your device, the device system, network type, device ID, your screen resolution and operating system. Where you log-in from multiple devices, we will be able to use your profile information to identify your activity across devices.

Tracking Technologies

Cookies or pixels (or mobile cookies/pixels). A cookie is a small file placed on your smart device. It may be possible to refuse/accept cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your smart device. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain features of the JALSA Platform.

Beacons. Pages of the JALSA Platform may contain small files known as beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permits Company to improve its services, for example, recording the popularity of certain application content, verifying system and server integrity.

Third-Party Information Collection: Certain third parties such as Ad Partners, analytics companies, your device manufacturer and/or your network service provider etc may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you or your device. These third parties may use tracking technologies to collect information about you, your device and your interaction when you use the JALSA Platform. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites, apps, and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. While we contractually require all our partners to comply with applicable privacy laws, please note that we do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies.

Information about advertisements presented on your the JALSA Platform: Company also collects some or all of the following information about an ad presented on your device:

1. the content type of the ad (what the ad is about, e.g. games, entertainment, news);
2. the ad type (e.g. whether the ad is a text, image, or video based ad);
3. where the ad is being served (e.g. the address of the site on which the ad appears);

Information provided through surveys displayed on the JALSA Platform

JALSA Platform may display certain marketing surveys or survey related applications to you where you are requested to fill in a survey, at your election, for services or products that you use or request to provide your opinion regarding certain products or services

Some of the data considered to be personal information/data, as per privacy laws in certain jurisdictions may be used upon your election to provide such data/information. To the extent such information/data is determined to be or becomes personal data/information as per privacy laws applicable to you, we will ensure compliance with such privacy laws in our collection, processing or use of the information/data including certain data subject rights, if any, that you may enjoy under such privacy laws.   Business Partners

  If you choose to register to use the Platform using your social network account details (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google), you will provide us or allow your social network to provide us with your username and public profile. We will likewise share certain information with the relevant social network such as your app ID, access token and the referring URL.

  Where you opt to share content on social media platforms, the video, username and accompanying text will be shared on that platform or, in the case of sharing via instant messaging platforms, a link to the content will be shared.

  Payment Providers

  We will share data with the relevant payment gateway to facilitate this transaction. We share a transaction ID to enable us to identify you and credit your account with the correct value once you have made the payment.

  Service Providers

  We provide information and content to service providers who support our business, such as cloud service providers and providers of content moderation services to ensure that the Platform is a safe and enjoyable place.

  Analytics providers

  We use analytics providers to help us in the optimisation and improvement of the Platform. Our third party analytics providers also help us serve targeted adverts

  Advertisers and Advertising Networks

  We share information with advertisers and third party measurement companies to show how many and which users of the Platform have viewed or clicked on an advertisement. We share your device ID with measurement companies so that we can link your activity on the Platform with your activity on other websites; we then use this information to show you adverts which may be of interest to you.

  We may also share your information with other members, subsidiaries, or affiliates of our corporate group, to provide the Platform including improving and optimising the Platform, preventing illegal use and supporting users.

  Public Profiles

  Please note that if your profile is public, your content will be visible to anyone on the Platform and may also be accessed or shared by your friends and followers as well as third parties such as search engines, content aggregators and news sites.

  You can change who can see a video each time you upload a video. Alternatively, you can change your profile to default private by changing your settings.

  Sale or Merger

  We will also disclose your information to third parties:

  • in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets (whether a result of liquidation, bankruptcy or otherwise), in which case we will disclose your data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets; or
  • if we sell, buy, merge, are acquired by, or partner with other companies or businesses, or sell some or all of our assets. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.

  You acknowledge that some of the recipients of your information may be located outside your country of residence.      1. Location data collection: You may opt out of the location data collection by JALSA Platform by turning off the location settings on your device. Note, however, that opting out of the JALSA Platform's collection of location information will cause its location-based features to be disabled. JALSA Platform may read your location on city level from your cellular network to enhance your experience and the content we serve you. This city level location data is solely used by our recommendation engine to serve you content.

     2. Interest-based advertising: If you want to be certain that no interest-based advertisements are sent to you, please use "Opt out of interest-based ads" on your Android device or "Limit Ad Tracking" on your iPhone or iPad or such other opt-out mechanisms made available on your device. You can opt out of receiving certain targeted ads by visiting the respective Ad Partner's websites with whose advertisements you interact with; Please note that if you opt-out of interest-based advertising you will still receive "generic" ads.

     3. Google Adsense: Some ads may be served by Google. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to users based on their visit to our JALSA Platform and other sites on the internet. DART uses "non personally identifiable information" and does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, etc. You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy Policy site at http://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html

     4. Tracking Technologies. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent or use your settings to disable certain features or opt out of targeted advertising etc. If you disable or refuse cookies or block the use of other tracking technologies, some parts of the JALSA Platform may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

     We have implemented suitable technical and organizational measures to secure your personal information in compliance with our legal and privacy requirements and contractual obligations. We also seek appropriate contractual protection from our partners regarding their collection, use or treatment of user data. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure.

  3. Data Retention Period

     Company may retain the information relating to your device collected for a period of up to 36 months, unless otherwise required by law or applicable contract.

     Company may retain the information it obtains about you as per the instructions of its customers or partners who provide such information or as required to fulfil our contractual obligations. In case any information is provided by you in participation of a survey, Company will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes it collected the information for.

     After the applicable retention period, Company may retain and use such data in an aggregated format, as necessary for internal analytical purposes, to comply with its legal obligations, resolve disputes (including billing) and enforce agreements.
